FAQ
A digital soil pH meter is an electronic device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of soil. It helps gardeners, farmers, and growers maintain optimal soil conditions for healthy plant growth.
An electronic soil pH meter uses a sensitive probe that is inserted into the soil to detect hydrogen ion activity and display an accurate pH reading on a digital screen.
The best pH meter for soil testing is one that offers high accuracy, fast response time, durable probes, and easy calibration. Digital and electronic soil pH meters are commonly preferred for reliable results.
Soil pH plays a crucial role in plant growth by affecting nutrient availability. Different plants have optimal pH ranges for nutrient uptake. Our pH meter can help you determine if your soil pH is suitable for the plants you want to grow.
The optimal pH range varies depending on the type of plant. However, most plants prefer a slightly acidic to neutral pH range (between 6.0 and 7.0). Our pH meter can help you determine the exact pH of your soil and make necessary adjustments.
To prepare a soil sample for pH testing, collect a representative sample from different areas of your garden or field. Mix the soil thoroughly to ensure a homogeneous sample. Then, add a small amount of distilled water to the soil and allow it to sit for a few minutes before inserting the pH electrode.
The frequency of soil pH testing depends on various factors, such as the type of soil, climate, and the plants you're growing. It's generally recommended to test your soil pH at least once a year, especially before planting new plants.
Yes, our pH meters are versatile and can be used for a wide range of applications, including testing the pH of hydroponic solutions, compost, and other growing media. In addition to soil pH, our meters can also measure the pH of liquids, making them suitable for various laboratory and field applications.
A soil test pH meter is used to evaluate soil acidity or alkalinity to ensure proper nutrient availability for plants in gardens, lawns, farms, and greenhouses.
A soil moisture meter typically provides a digital reading, while a soil moisture tester may use an analog scale. Both help determine whether soil is too dry or too wet for plants.

Great water meter!
We got this water meter to be used in our saltwater pool and hot tub. This is a very economical and convenient way to test water quality, salt level, and other factors of pool water. Even though this is not the stated intention of this meter, it works well for our applications and we are looking forward to using it weekly through the upcoming summer and year. I like that this unit is small and can be easily put away in a drawer when not used. I would highly recommend it.
Exactly what I needed!
Great little ph tester and even better with ppm and all the other options, too! Accurate against test strips and it was accurate without needing to calibrate it. I use it daily and love it!
So much better than the cheap pH meters
This pH meter is hefty and works VERY well. Instruction sheet explains all about it and it's easy to use. Comes with batteries already installed and with a spare set, cleaning brush and rag. This item had the calibration solutions with it. VERY pleased with it.
