Description

This is the large-display model in our soil nutrient range, showing nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and soil temperature on one screen.

It suits growers who feed on a schedule and want to track how the reading changes after feeding. Take a reading before feeding and compare it with a later reading taken under similar soil conditions — the movement between the two is the useful part.

The nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium figures are calculated from soil conductivity rather than measured chemically, so read them as low, medium or high. If you need exact nutrient values for a fertiliser plan, use a laboratory soil test. Readings also shift with soil moisture, probe contact and temperature, so test under similar conditions each time if you want the numbers to be comparable.

For a smaller NPK tester, see our NPK soil tester.

Why Is It Necessary To Accurately Detect Soil NPK?

Why Is It Necessary To Accurately Detect Soil NPK? Why Is It Necessary To Accurately Detect Soil NPK?

Perfect Nitrogen Control for Thriving Leafy Greens

Maintaining the right nitrogen balance is key to lush, green crops without the risk of yellowing or burnt leaves. This digital soil tester gives growers real-time accuracy (0–1999 mg/kg) to avoid nutrient stress that leads to weak growth or wasted fertilizer. Ideal nitrogen levels for leafy vegetables like cabbage and lettuce are typically around 150–250 mg/kg, ensuring strong chlorophyll production and crisp harvests. A simple tool for growers who want consistent yields and eco-friendly nutrient use.

Phosphorus Balance Made Simple for Strong Root Growth

Root strength and early plant vigor depend on proper phosphorus management, and this soil meter makes it effortless to prevent stunted seedlings or nutrient toxicity. For crops such as corn or cereals, the best phosphorus range is usually 40–80 mg/kg, promoting healthy development and maximum productivity.

Accurate Potassium Monitoring for Juicy, Healthy Fruits

Potassium drives fruit quality, sugar accumulation, and disease resistance, but too little or too much can ruin the harvest. The handheld tester measures potassium from 0–1999 mg/kg, letting farmers protect yield and flavor without trial-and-error. Tomatoes and other fruiting crops thrive when potassium levels are maintained between 150–250 mg/kg, giving vibrant growth and uniform fruiting.

Digital 3-in-1 Soil NPK Tester – FAQs

How should I read the NPK numbers?

They are calculated from soil conductivity and are intended for tracking direction over time rather than exact figures. A laboratory soil test gives exact values.

What is a Digital 3-in-1 Soil NPK Tester?

A Digital 3-in-1 Soil NPK Tester is a soil testing device that measures Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) levels in the soil, helping gardeners and farmers understand soil fertility and nutrient balance.

How does a Digital 3-in-1 Soil NPK Tester work?

The tester uses soil sensors/probes inserted directly into the soil to analyze nutrient levels. Results are displayed digitally, allowing quick and easy soil assessment without laboratory testing.

What does NPK stand for in soil testing?

NPK stands for:

  • N – Nitrogen: Supports leaf and plant growth
  • P – Phosphorus: Promotes root development and flowering
  • K – Potassium: Improves overall plant health and disease resistance
Why is pH Important in Water Quality Testing?

Yes, the product is pre-calibrated at the factory and can be used for direct soil measurement right out of the box using the Quick Measurement Method: simply turn it on, insert the probe vertically into moist soil, wait for the reading to stabilize, and take measurements at multiple points for an average value.

What is the difference between Quick Measurement and Precision Measurement?

Quick Measurement: Directly insert the probe into natural soil. Ideal for quick, in-field estimates.

Precision Measurement: Requires mixing soil with water in a 2:1 ratio (soil:water), then inserting the probe halfway into the slurry. Wait 5 seconds for a reading. This method offers higher accuracy and is recommended for detailed analysis.

How do I maintain and clean the probe?

After each use, gently clean the metal probe with a soft cloth and water to remove soil and moisture. Avoid abrasive materials. Proper cleaning prevents rust and corrosion, ensuring long-term accuracy.

What is the measuring range for N, P, and K?

The tester measures each nutrient in the range of 0–1999 mg/kg. It also measures temperature in both Celsius (-30°C to 80°C) and Fahrenheit (-22°F to 176°F).

Does the device support temperature compensation?

Yes, it features automatic temperature compensation, which helps improve reading accuracy across different environmental conditions.

What batteries does it use, and are the electrodes replaceable?

The device runs on 3 × 1.5V button cell batteries. The electrodes are replaceable, which extends the life of the tester and maintains measurement consistency over time.
